It’s natural to have some questions about how everything works and what you can expect. We’ve answered some of the most frequent questions our clients come to us with.

Where are meetings held?

Meetings are usually held at our offices, but remote consultations are available if you would prefer.

Where is your office?

We’re based in Rainford, a farm-land setting on the outskirts of the village, with easy access from the Rainford by-pass.You can find directions on our  Contact page.

Is there parking available?

Yes, we have parking available on site.

What items should I bring with me to the initial meeting?

Please bring along any information that you hold that you think may help with the area of financial planning that you are looking at.

Do I need to pay for the initial meeting?

No, your initial meeting is free of charge. You won’t pay for anything unless we agree to work together.

How long should I allow for the initial meeting?

1-1.5 hours.

Do I have to sign up to your services at the initial meeting?

No, we will produce a summary of our meeting and let you know how we can help you and you can then decide whether you want to engage with us further.

How can I make an appointment for the initial meeting?

Are you independent?

Yes, totally independent. This means we can provide whole of market advice and truly find the best solutions for your needs.

Are you regulated?

We are authorised and regulated by The Financial Conduct Authority; our reference number is 607698.

What happens if you’re away on holiday?

We have a team of administrators that will be able to assist you. We also have a locum arrangement in place should you need to speak to an adviser.

Can you advise on defined benefit pension transfers?

We do not advise on defined benefit transfers; we outsource this work to pension transfer specialists. However, we are able to assist you with your wider financial planning affairs post transfer.

Do you have any minimum investment levels?

We work with clients who are thinking about retirement who have assets above £150,000 and those near retirement who have reached investable assets of over £250,000.

We find that this is the level where we’re able to add the most value to our clients’ lives.

 

How many clients do you have?

We have around 150 family groups.

What qualifications do you have?

Andrew is a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner. Find out more about what that means for you as a client here.

Do you work on percentage fees or fixed fees?

We work on a tiered percentage of funds under management both on an initial and ongoing basis. Full details of our fees are available here and we will provide you with confirmation of the fees before you agree to become a client.

Are you paid commissions?

No, we are not.
